Jyoti proudly hosted the first ever half marathon in home town city, Rajkot in association with Rajkot Municipal Corporation(RMC) and Rajkot City Police to create awareness among the people about traffic sense and importance of cleanliness.
Shri Parakram Jadeja, CMD – Jyoti CNC Automation Limited, Shri Vijay Nehra, Rajkot Municipal Commissioner had inaugurated the half marathon on 24th January, 2016. 
More Than 35,000+ registration were made through online website and offline centers. Surprisingly more than 40,000+ people joined
the half marathon along with 25 athletes from Ethiopia and Kenya.
Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara(also the brand ambassador of the Jyoti Rajkot Half Marathon 2016), hockey player Rahul Singh, Ghanshyam Nayak, who essays the role of ‘Natukaka’in TV serial “Tarak Mehta ka ooltah Chasmah”, Tanmay Vekariya, who plays “Bagho” in the same serial has also joined the run.
The event was divided into five categories – half marathon (21km), dream run (10km), fun run (5km), veteran run (2.5km), special run (physically challenged, 1km) and team event.
Simion Kiplagat from Kenya won inaugural Jyoti Rajkot half marathon in 63 minutes.
